Marsh Portfolio Solutions (MPS) is a dynamic client-centric practice within Marsh UK and Ireland that places and manages a range of innovative portfolio solutions across Marsh Practices. MPS comprises of 120 dedicated professionals providing a range of intermediary services to insurer clients including management information, insights and analysis.

What can you expect:

  • To manage a portfolio of facilities across the specialty practises supported by a team of product managers that you will directly manage.
  • To take the lead role on one or more facilities, as may be necessary.
  • Ensure that all facilities are managed in line with MPS procedures, regulatory requirements and best practice whilst delivering contracted services to our insurer clients.
  • You will be responsible for the MPS relationship with the specialty practices to identify new opportunities and promote the use of existing solutions.
  • To manage insurer relationships, and resolve questions and challenges that may arise

We will rely on you to:

  • Manage the Specialty Placement Plus (SP+) facilities team to ensure that all contracted services to insurers are satisfactorily fulfilled in a timely manner.
  • Management responsibility for the operational requirements of the SP+ facilities teams
  • Plan, manage and control all aspects of the SP+ team having regard to effective risk oversight and control arrangements and in-line with governance framework.
  • To ensure that we at all times put client's interests first in accordance with our conduct guidelines.
  • Working closely with MPS colleagues and key stakeholders in the practices' to drive facility growth and development of the solution and ensure that the facilities performs against targeted performance levels.
  • Oversee and manage the engagement with each participating insurer for all day to day facility matters in order to ensure that the participating insurers are engaging on the facilities per the terms of the relevant contract (s).
  • Engage with MPS leadership and practice stakeholders to enable the delivery of contracted services to Insurers.
  • Have responsibility for the team budget, including new revenue targets and responsibility for reporting changes to the MPS leadership

What you need to have:

  • This role will suit a confident, articulate individual who performs well in presentations, is good at building relationships and is happy to work in a flexible role.
  • An understanding of London insurance market dynamics and core processes.
  • Support Management of and contracts and subsequent amendments, including fee negotiations, in line with the Governance Framework
  • An ability and desire to build relationships internally at all levels, both within Marsh, and insurer clients.
  • Highly organised and methodical in approach, with an ability to work under pressure, often to tight deadlines.
  • Balanced leadership, and a desire to manage and develop team

  • Proven experience of working within insurance from an Underwriting, Broking, Claims or Distribution background
  • A desire to problem solve with new and innovative solutions
  • Prior experience in managing multiple facilities
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with an ability to quickly determine what the most urgent tasks are.
