Role: Strategic Account Manager

Location: Birmingham – West Midlands

ABOUT THE ROLE –

The role will operate in a complex and competitive environment successfully integrating ERIKS at multiple levels within the customer organisation from operational to board level.

The role will develop a deep understanding of the customer and a practical understanding of their strategy and its application, leading to a comprehensive knowledge of how the customer generates earnings and how ERIKS can support the customers strategic objectives for mutual benefit.

The Strategic Customer Manager will work to focus and align ERIKS resource to create mature and authentic relationships, excel in the delivery of our commitments and secure strategic growth opportunities.

In doing this, the role will maximise the mutual value of the ERIKS/customer relationship and ensure long term customer retention.

The purpose of the role is to ensure that ERIKS understands and delights the customer through the contract life and to negotiate, better and secure renewal of the contract upon contract expiration.

  • Development and implementation of a compelling vision and credible strategic customer plan that engages the team in delivering budget and securing customer retention.
  • Deliver retention and growth through authentic leadership; ethically and with integrity, whilst upholding the ERIKS values.
  • Identify and match customer needs with ERIKS value proposition (products & services) that generate demonstrative value to the customer and ERIKS.
  • Hold ERIKS accountable to delivering excellence through declared key performance indicators.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Development and implementation of credible strategic customer plans.
  • Leadership of an indirect, cross functional team.
  • Development of robust, mature business relationships.
  • Ensuring contract renewal at end of contract term.

Working Hours:

Mon – Fri: 8.30am – 5.30pm

Weekly hours: 40

Breaks: 1 hour

ABOUT YOU –

  • Effective indirect team leadership, ideally cross functional.
  • Proven ability to present, engage and negotiate at a senior leadership/board level.
  • Ability to interpret business and financial metrics, identifying trends, potential risk, customer needs and value adding opportunities.
  • Experience of contract negotiation.
