Job Summary

  • This diverse role offers daily challenges, requiring a dedicated individual who is up for a challenge and eager to learn. Full training provided.
  • The role involves shift work between 07:30 and 19:00 Monday to Friday.
  • Permanent contract for up to 30 hours per week.

Main Duties of the Job

Brief Job Description

The post holder will undertake various reception and administrative tasks to support the practice's operations. Responsibilities include maintaining a positive and friendly interaction with patients and visitors, both in-person and over the phone. Efficiently directing patients to the appropriate healthcare services, promoting effective communication among patients, primary healthcare team members, and other associated agencies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Answer calls from patients and healthcare agencies.
  • Handle patient administration tasks such as registrations, deductions, and address changes.
  • Process patient information from various healthcare agencies.
  • Complete administrative duties assigned by clinicians and the leadership team.
  • Ensure safe and courteous arrival of patients and visitors to the premises.

Experience

  • Prior experience in healthcare or busy customer service roles.
  • Strong teamwork and office administration skills.
  • Excellent IT skills, including familiarity with medical software.
  • Previous exposure to General Practice operations.

Skills

  • Effective written and oral communication.
  • Polite phone etiquette and strong keyboard skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology is a plus.
  • Leadership capabilities and flexibility to manage tasks efficiently.
