We are currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Grounds Person to join our friendly team at the award-winning, Lime Wood Hotel.

Lime Wood is a 33-bedroom boutique country house set in the heart of the New Forest National Park.

It is laid-back 5* luxury at its best, with Chefs Angela Hartnett and Luke Holder at the helm of the kitchen and a wellness spa within the grounds.

Our grounds teams play an essential role in ensuring Lime Wood continues to be an attractive hotel for both restaurant and overnight guests.

About the role:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Reporting to our Head Grounds Person with regards to all tasks.
  • Maintain all lawns, trees and maintenance of formal boarders working harmlessly with the grounds and kitchen garden team.
  • Treat lawns and ensure formal boarders are watered.
  • Keep all grounds tidy, ensuring grass trimmings are raked and debris is bagged and removed away from site.
  • Compliant handling of tools and equipment, ensuring health and safety measure are met.
  • Handle equipment with care, ensuring safe storage of all machinery.
  • Consider guests whilst working in a timely and efficient manner. Taking into consideration noise levels and obstructions.
  • Interact with guests as/when required.

About you:

Experience as a Grounds Person / Gardener is essential. PA1 & PA6 usage and maintenance of garden machinery such as petrol strimmer's and mowers desirable.
