Information Governance Advisor

As part of the continued development of the Interweave team, we are recruiting a permanent IG Advisor.

The role will contribute to the successful delivery of Interweave products, services and operations, working with partners, customers and contracted third parties.

The main duties of the role will include

  • To provide information governance expertise, identify best practice and make and deliver recommendations for local implementation of Information Governance
To develop, implement and review information governance policies and procedures in alignment with NHS guidelines and relevant legislation

To act as Privacy Officer for Interweave ensuring that alerts are investigated, implementing a system for monitoring access to Interweave computer systems

To undertake and or co-ordinate audit projects, in relation to the Information Governance agenda, proposing changes to practice where necessary

To review and investigate information governance incidents as directed, making recommendations for remedial actions

Co-ordinate the Trusts Information Governance programme based on the Information Governance Toolkit

Identify, monitor and support staff in mitigating risks threatening information governance compliance, producing reports to the Information Governance Committee as appropriate/required

Ensure compliance with the Information Governance Toolkit for relevant requirements as instructed to do so

Collaborate with internal and external partners and regulatory bodies to ensure alignment with Information Governance standards
