Tradewind Recruitment Cardiff are searching for fun and friendly Psychology graduates to work as a Learning Support Assistant/ Teaching Assistant in both mainstream schools as well as SEN schools in Cardiff.

We work closely with lots of SEN schools which have many opportunities for you to work 1-1 with small groups of children with Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties and Emotional Behavioural Difficulties.


We offer lots of certified CPD courses and additional training beforehand and throughout your role to ensure you are well equipped to enter the classroom.

In this role, you will be required to:

  • Prepare learning materials with the guidance of the teacher
  • Work with small groups and 11 with SEN children
  • Help create a stimulating environment

  • Adapt your approach to learning based on a learner's needs
  • Working with pupils on therapy or care programmes, with the support of relevant professionals according to the learner's needs.
To join us and be successful in the Learning Support Assistant/ Teaching Assistant role you will need:

  • To have psychology degree or equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience working with children or young adults is preferred but not essential.
  • This position you will need an enhanced DBS disclosure, Over Seas Police Clearance (if applicable) and profession reference checks
  • At least
  • You must have an EWC
  • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be noted.
  • You must have legal right to work in the UK.
  • Attend the TA school (if applicable)
