About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Practitioner Psychologist to join our Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing specialist psychological interventions to children and young people with mental health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality psychological interventions to children and young people with mental health difficulties
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service-wide policies and procedures
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to provide comprehensive care to children and young people
  • Participate in the supervision and training of junior staff members

Requirements
  • A good Honours degree in Psychology with eligibility for Graduate Basis for Chartership (GBC) with the BPS
  • A post-graduate Doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology accredited by the HCPC (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996 as accredited by the BPS)
  • HCPC registration as a practitioner psychologist
  • Experience of working with children and young people with mental health difficulties in an NHS setting
  • Experience of exercising full clinical responsibility for clients' psychological care and treatment within the context of a multidisciplinary care plan
