United Schools Federation is looking for a part time caretaker, preferably to be based at one of three schools: either Ipplepen Primary School, St Catherines Primary School Heathfield or at The Topsham School Exeter.

However this position could be mobile across various schools, depending on the applicant, (to be discussed at interview). Please see details of all our schools in the background information.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and committed person to assist in the care for the buildings and premises. An immediate start is available (on completion of satisfactory DBS and pre-employment checks).

You will be part of a team ensuring a safe, clean and well-maintained school environment for all staff and children, working under the direction of the United Schools Federations Premises Manager.

This post is a permanent position, for 20 hours per week, over five days. There can be some flexibility with the hours each day.

Ideally, we would welcome someone able to open school before 8.00am and lock up in the early evenings, exact times to be agreed with the Premises Manager.

It is a year-round Contract with holidays to be taken at a times mutually agreed.

A full driving licence is required for this post as you may be required to work across other schools within the United School Federation.

The ability to complete physical work and be able to use tools to complete minor maintenance tasks is essential. Work will be both inside or outside dependant on the task. You will be responsible for grounds tasks; general maintenance; site security; and Health and Safety checks.
