We are seeking a Maintenance Caretaker to join our team as soon as possible in the Autumn term of 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out maintenance and cleaning tasks as set out in the school's work schedules to the standards determined by the Headteacher and co-operate with any reasonable request for changes to daily work routines.
  • Oversee the security of the premises and its contents including setting the burglar alarm.
  • Oversee the cleaning team in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safe use of products and equipment.
  • Undertake repairs and remedial work.
  • Oversee the work of external contractors as required to ensure compliance with the Trust's Health & Safety policies.

The successful candidate will be friendly and approachable to our students, parents and staff. The candidate will work under the general direction of the School Business Manager/Headteacher to ensure the school premises meet the defined standards and qualities essential for a hygienic, healthy and safe school and community environment.
