WORKSHOP CONTROLLER to join a Taunton based main dealer that represents a high-quality European brand.

  • Management of the Workshop & team,
  • Carry out regular reviews to identify operational issues / discrepancies and ensure appropriate follow up actions are taken to rectify.
  • Manage the performance of the department.
  • Manage and plan workshop & resources to ensure that work can be completed as per schedule.
  • Support the sales team to ensure cars (presale) are ready for handover.
  • Hold daily production meetings to Plan workload and resources,
  • Anticipate production problems based on forward plan / resources and provide support to handle workload.
  • Monitor staff performance versus standard role requirements and personal objectives and identify areas for development & training.

To be considered you MUST have:

  • Previous experience in similar role & proven track record
  • Knowledge of Industry Standards
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong team working & leadership skills
  • Flexible cando approach


This role would ideally suit an existing Workshop Controller or Senior main dealer Service Advisor (with team leadership experience) who seeks their next career step.
