Social Care Academy Hub Coordinator

The Role

The South London Partnership are looking for a Hub Coordinator, to drive the Social Care Academy Hub.

This is a new and exciting role, where you will be key in leading a wide range of partners from across the six boroughs, the social care sector, employment programmes, education, skills, and training providers, SWL NHS and London ADASS to work together to promote and ensure access to good jobs, training and career opportunities in the social care sector.

This is a fixed term contract until March 2025 or secondment opportunity for internal staff.


You will be a natural leader, a self-starter and team player, with experience of building partnerships, creating networks, and maintaining strong relationships.

This experience can come from a variety of sectors, and we are keen to hear from people with transferable skills, with a focus on strong relationship building skills, employer engagement and stakeholder management.

You will be responsible for managing the Social Care Academy hub, identifying, developing opportunities to promote and develop the social care workforce and working with partners by identifying and acting upon areas for adaption and improvement

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Project planning and delivery of the Academy Hub including financial returns, performance, and project risk monitoring to ensure it delivers its aims and objectives and meet the GLA's requirements.
  • Building and managing effective relationships with a wide range of partners across the social care, employment, skills and training sectors to align and maximise the impact of the wide range of activities and opportunities in the social care sector
  • Strengthening and building networks by supporting and encouraging employers to provide opportunities for underrepresented groups


As a Social Care Academy Hub Coordinator you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the recruitment and retention in the social care sector, supporting underrepresented groups by promoting and ensuring access into good jobs, training and career opportunities.

You will shape, measure and drive the success of the Academy Hub to create maximum opportunities for the future of South West London.


South London Partnership (SLP) is a small and dynamic, close knit team, working across the 6 boroughs of Croydon, Kingston, Merton, Richmond, Wandsworth and Sutton.

The SLP team focuses on areas where collaboration leads to increased influence, increased powers and funding and better delivery of the services our residents need.
