A large and reputable business with headquarters based in Bolton, are looking to recruit an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their stable team of five.

Your new role
In your new role as Payroll Specialist, you will report into the Payroll Manager.

Working in a team of 5, you will be responsible for high volume payroll consisting of 8000+ salaried employees within the group.

As a Payroll specialist, your job will be to provideadvice and guidance to employees relating to payroll and resolving any payroll, pension and benefit queries and processes.

You will process accurate and timely payroll reconciliations, complete monthly processes such as auto enrolment, RTI reporting, NLW checksand P11D processing.

At month end, you will work closely with Finance in the production of BACS payments, P45, payslips, tax and at year end, P60 productions.

This is a full time role, working Monday to Friday 9am-5pm with a minimum of 2 days in the officeper week.


What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this position, experience of high volume payroll processing is essential. You will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of payroll processes including pensions, benefits and taxations. Double entry bookkeeping knowledge is preferablebut you must have an excellent working knowledge of Excel, inclusive of VLOOKUPs. As part of the interview process, an Excel assessment will be completed.

What you'll get in return
In return for this, you will be offered an excellent package with a salary up to £30,000 per annum. Alongside this, you will work with a long standing Payroll Manager, who boasts 20 years service with the organisation.
