Do you have experience in payroll? Are you ready to take the next step in your career? Want to work for an award-winning company? We're looking for a Payroll Consultant to our join friendly and dedicated People Services team in Bolton on a full-time, permanent basis.

Reporting into the People Services Payroll Manager, you'll be joining us as an essential member of the team. You will be supporting the delivery and reconciliation of AXA UK's payroll.

This is a fantastic role where you will have opportunity to be involved in the implementation of process improvements, as well as providing specialist technical advice on payroll calculations and financial reconciliations.


You'll have a strong customer mindset with the ability to work under tight deadlines and take pride in completing highly complex technical work to a very high standard.

You'll be expected to work flexibly for a minimum of 2 days in our Bolton office to be with your team.


Working Hours:
Full time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Training:


You'll receive a comprehensive onsite induction and full training from the current Manager, to set you up for success in your new role with lots of support along the way.

What you'll be doing:

  • Providing technical / complex advice and guidance on payroll queries/processes
  • Maintaining the Payroll system
  • Being an expert for People Services query resolution; to include benefits in kind, pensions, employee benefits and the company car scheme
  • Completing payroll reconciliations and reporting
  • Supporting other HR departments in processing of the company Equity schemes and reporting
  • Assisting with invoicing, payments and reporting of additional payroll services e.g. Shadow payroll, tax returns, NI reviews and equalisation of assignment related benefits.
  • Resolving payroll, pensions, benefit and finance queries
  • Completing monthly statutory processes such as Auto Enrolment assessment, RTI reporting, NLW checks, EYU processing, P11D reporting, 3rd party pay overs and Staff pension scheme reconciliation and reporting.
  • Assisting with month end activities such as BACS/GL processing, Payslip/P45 production
  • Responsible for IFC Controls, process flows and supporting process audits

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience of HR & Payroll Systems.
  • Working knowledge of Payroll Statutory and Legal requirements i.e., PAYE and Pensions.
  • Confident in payroll and pensions procedures.
  • Ability to complete payroll reconciliations.
  • Advanced Microsoft office skills.
  • Excellent numeracy and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex payroll and finance information.
  • CIPP qualified/equivalent or working towards qualifications.


As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorized to work in the United Kingdom.
