The Finance department which sits in Corporate Services is a core support function for Cox Automotive across Europe.


The Finance team has responsibility for maintaining the financial records of the business, ensuring appropriate controls and governance measures are in place to minimise risk as well as providing in depth managing reporting and analytics to drive business decisions.


Further to the above, the Finance team is core to the delivery of strategic change, providing appropriate support/ business partnering as and when required.


In addition, the Finance team provide a point of contact to Cox Automotive US through the provision of financial/management information.

This role will be focussed on leading the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function within the Manheim Vehicle Services (MVS) Finance Team

Scope of Role:

As a key lead within the MVS finance team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring FP&A within the finance function is optimally managed

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Pricing / Decision Support; Play a leading role in developing commercial/ pricing propositions for existing customer renewals and new business opportunities ensuring the business is well informed on the impact of pricing decisions on overall profitability
  • Forecasting and Planning; Take ownership of weekly/ monthly and annual P&L forecasts as well as leading the annual budget/ LRP process.
  • Customer Profitability; Develop and maintain framework to understand profitability by customer highlighting key drivers impacting performance and identifying opportunities to enhance customer profitability
  • Service Margin Analysis; Develop and maintain framework to identify gross profit margin by service type identifying revenue growth/ cost efficiency opportunities through this process
  • Cost Efficiency Analysis; Create and maintain tools to help the business understand cost efficiencies for each key spend areas identifying value add opportunities through the process
  • Reporting and analytics; Further develop existing suite of Management Information focusing on creating insightful MI to support decision making whilst also ensuring reporting is accurate and delivered in a timely manner
  • Customer Contract Management & Implementation; Manage customer pricing information ensuring contract pricing is aligned to key operating/ financial systems and lead the financial onboarding of new customers

Objectives for Role:

  • Pricing Analysis for existing customer renewals and new business opportunities
  • Production of rolling monthly forecasts for submission by WD5 to CA International
  • Development and management of customer profitability frameworks
  • Timely and accurate production of Management Information
  • Development and management of service margin analysis as well as cost efficiency framework models
  • Forging of strong working relationship with sales and operational teams providing ongoing support to drive optimal decision making
  • Support on any key projects that drive strategic change within the business where financial analysis/ reporting is required.
  • Manage customer pricing within key operating/ financial systems and take ownership for onboarding new customers from a finance perspective
  • Lead annual financial planning processes e.g. LRP production
  • Driving team member development and engagement ensuring team members are appropriately managed at all times

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
years of business partnering/ FP&A experience

  • Strong I.T skills (particularly MS Excel and MS Powerpoint)
  • Good communication and influencing skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong leadership skills
