In the Motor Claims department, you will play a crucial role in assisting customers involved in accidents, ensuring their claims are processed accurately and efficiently. This role offers a supportive and collaborative work environment where you will take ownership of claims from start to finish.
As a Claims Handler, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of motor claims, communicating with various parties, making informed decisions, and ensuring timely and cost-effective claim settlements.
Your main duties as a Motor Claims Handler include:
- Handle fault and non-fault motor claims from start to finish while meeting customer requirements.
- Ensure claims are processed correctly and in compliance with policies and regulations.
- Maintain clear communication with customers and third parties through written and verbal channels.
- Proactively engage with external parties to progress claims efficiently.
- Manage claim allocations, prioritize urgent cases, and identify potential fraud indicators.
- Complete administrative tasks to support claims processing.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and learning new technologies.
- Experience in delivering excellent customer service.
- Positive attitude and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum C Grade in Maths and English (or equivalent).
