Claims Handler Job Description:

We are seeking individuals who are resilient, adaptable, and driven with excellent communication skills and a confident phone demeanor to join our Motor Claims department. As a Claims Handler, you will play a crucial role in assisting and supporting customers involved in accidents, ensuring accurate and efficient claim handling.

In this collaborative and supportive environment, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of a claim, from liaising with policyholders to engaging with external parties such as lawyers, accident management companies, and third-party insurers.

You will be encouraged to work proactively, take ownership of your tasks, manage your workload efficiently, and prioritize urgent cases while honing your decision-making skills to settle claims promptly and cost-effectively.


Main Responsibilities as a Claims Handler:
  • Handle a portfolio of fault and non-fault motor claims from start to finish, meeting customer requirements.
  • Ensure claims are processed correctly in line with policy cover and legal requirements.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with customers and external parties.
  • Use outbound calls to progress claims efficiently and manage claim allocations.
  • Make informed decisions regarding payments, liability, and settlements.
  • Identify fraud indicators and determine appropriate claim actions.

Requirements for the Role:
  • Proficient in using computers and learning new systems.
  • Positive attitude towards change and teamwork.
  • Minimum C grade in Maths and English or equivalent.
