The Opportunity


Hanbury London moved into new London Bridge offices back in November having spent our initial six years in a co-working space near Spitalfields.

Our consultancy continues to grow at pace and that growth combined with the new responsibility of running our own office means we are looking for an exceptional individual to oversee this business-critical function and our brilliant office management and PA team.

There will also be the opportunity to act as project manager for special projects that occur and to help ensure all elements of our operations function interact effectively.


The Head of Office Operations will report to our COO and oversee a team of four in London plus our Brussels based Office Manager.

**Responsibilities will include the following: - Overall lead for the management of our offices and the office management team

  • Ensure that the team provides a welcoming office environment for visitors and the Hanbury team
  • Partner with our senior Brussels team and Brussels Office Manager to deliver operational excellence there
  • Help to drive the operations team efficiency across all functions, working closely with the Finance, People and Compliance teams
  • Oversee supplier management, supporting on specification and installation of new hardware and equipment
  • Lead your team to deliver on event management e.g. biannual away days, Christmas parties and ongoing client events
  • Project management for special projects (recent examples include our a demerger and office move)
  • Participate in our internal marketing working group
  • Helping the Operations team with any ad hoc tasks such as new supplier strategies, process improvement, GDPRrelated activity etc

About you

  • Emotionally intelligent and an experienced people leader
  • You are organised and have excellent attention to detail
  • Adept at working at pace and with senior stakeholders, communicating with influence
  • You will likely have five to ten years experience within office operations (such as as a PA, EA or Office Manager).
  • Exposure to other key operational functions like compliance, contracts, HR and finance advantageous
  • An understanding of the media, communications or political landscape is also beneficial.
