We are recruiting for a Sales Manager to join our client in Southampton, this is a straight Permanent position offering a salary up to £55,000 DOE.Your main responsibility will be to identify, development and successful close sale opportunities.

You will own the sales lifecycle, maintaining and building existing customer relationships across the business.

You will coordinate sales operations and implement sales techniques that allow the business to meet and surpass its sales targets consistently.

The duties and responsibilities of the Sales Manager will include:

Creating a sustainable sales strategy for the businessLeading the sales of the business to ensure that targets are achieved and realistically derived for expected turnaround timesNegotiate any contracts and price increases to ensure that business growth and margin targets are met.

Manage key accounts and identify and close new business opportunitiesPrepare quotes and estimates for new and existing customersProvide accurate forecasting of financial performance of key accountsProvide customer and market insight into the businessBuild and maintain excellent business relationships with new and existing customers, suppliers and industry representativesProvide regular reports to the managing directorContribute to effective marketing plansResolve customers complaints where necessaryThe ideal Sales Manager will:

Be a self-starter and be a highly motivated individualBe able to set and achieve short and long-term goals in line with business needsTo be output orientedHave experience in working with engineering and manufacturing customersExcellent communication skillsBe confident in briefing senior stakeholders across the businessHave the ability to develop strong relationships within the business and externallyHave the capacity to overcome barriers.
