The Role:


As the Lead Medical Secretary, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the provision of a high quality, effective medical secretarial service.

Your responsibilities will include leading the team to deliver an exceptional service to our patients and consultants, ensuring an unparalleled patient centred experience.

Responsible for managing day-to-day resources and operations and fostering a positive working environment with a team centred approach to patient care.

What You'll Do:

  • Leading the Medical Secretary team to consistently deliver an exceptional service to all GenesisCare patients and consultants
  • Monitoring and allocation of resources to align to capacity and demand for services
  • To ensure compliance with GenesisCare administrative processes to confirm data documented is accurate and contemporaneous, minimising errors
  • Ensuring compliance to policy and legislation, particularly with respect to information governance, patient confidentiality and competition and markets authority guidance

What You'll Have:

Experience and skills:

  • Marked experience as a Medical Secretary
  • Experience of management and leadership
  • Effective communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Helpful, responsive and reassuring when dealing with patients and their families
  • Experience of managing diaries and schedules
  • Experience of referral triaging and booking processes
  • Ability to work accurately and methodically with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Polite, professional and compassionate attitude
  • Ability to work to tight timeframes and meet deadlines
  • Creating and updating databases

Qualifications and Knowledge:

  • Medical terminology
  • Able to demonstrate experience of working with Microsoft office and databases
