Due to increased workload, we are looking for a part time Credit Controller to join the team to be based in either our Durham or Gateshead office.

Working directly with one of our Directors, you will be responsible for handling the collection of finances and the resolution of account queries, raising sales invoices and issuing credit notes.


Key responsibilities of the Credit Controller will include:
- timely and effective collection of all debts and clients payments
- chasing outstanding invoices/overdue invoices
- checking clients credit ratings
- issuing credit notes
- set up of Direct Debit mandates
- negotiating re-payment plans
- maintaining contact with clients to ensure invoices are clear for payment
- resolving queries both internally and externally around outstanding invoices


It is vital that a Credit Controller builds and maintains close links with all clients, to ensure smooth running of accounts and encourage timely recovery of payments.

- significant previous credit control experience
- ability to establish and maintain good client relationships, both internally and externally at all levels
- ability to reconcile complex accounts and have excellent attention to detail
- calm, confident manner with strong communication skills to handle potentially uncomfortable conversations
- proficient in accounting and office software, specifically CCH and Xero would be beneficial
