The Role


The purpose of a Stock Controller is to be responsible for the day to day functions of the stock control and warehouse area.

Ensuring daily tasks are carried out effectively and timely to allow effective operations on all sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working to achieve daily targets in a fast paced environment.
  • Liaising with Line Manager and senior members of staff.
  • Ensure all company safety and quality systems are followed and relevant legislation followed.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures at all times.
  • Oversee a clean, organised and safe work environment at all times.
  • Loading and unloading warehouse material, optimising leads to ensure operational efficiency and identifying damages to vehicles.
  • Reporting any near misses for continuous improvement.
  • Perform maintenance of Forklift Truck by checking and completing weekly maintenance checks sheets.
  • Transporting materials by Forklift to different locations within the facility.
  • Transport raw materials to production workstations.
  • Carrying out physical stock checks as and when required ensuring that all stock anomalies are investigated thoroughly.
  • Communicating any stock amendments in a timely and professional manner.
  • Inputting all inbound and outbound stock accurately.
  • Inspecting all incoming goods and placing materials in an allocated location.
  • Take a proactive approach to daily stock maintenance.
  • Assist in internal audits as required.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities within the warehouse environment and make suggestions for improvement.
  • Ensure all relevant procedures and processes are adhered to in line with the Company Procedures and requirements.
  • Identifying workplace safety hazards
  • Reporting and carrying out any general maintenance on site repairs.
  • Maintenance of all external site grounds
  • Working daily with inventory stock management systems.
  • Liaising with various departments to ensure availability of stock.

  • IT literate with experience of working with Excel and Google sheets.
  • Experience in handling and managing stock within a manufacturing environment.
