About the Role

The Ministry of Defence employs a large number of Civil Servants, including around 7,000 within the Army Top Level Budget (TLB). This team is positioned across 300 locations and encompasses a wide range of roles, from trainers and psychologists to financiers and project managers. Data plays a crucial role in understanding and supporting the diverse workforce.

The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS) Group is responsible for providing officer training to both Regular and Reserve officers for the British Army and international allies. They also offer instructor development, pre-employment training, and professional development for General Staff members.

The Office Manager of the Officer Cadet Administration Cell (OCAC) will oversee the administration team's output to ensure efficient processing of Officer Cadet (OCdt) processes in support of various courses.

  • Transfer candidate data between the National Recruiting Centre and RMAS.
  • Ensure timely delivery of Commissioning Contracts.
  • Complete course administrative processes accurately and on time.
  • Upload key data to the MoD IT system.
  • Generate commissioning lists and reports.
  • Support OCAC with additional duties as required.
  • Weekly checks of the recruit pipeline in the system.

Applicants should possess strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Effective communication and collaboration are vital, as the role involves liaising with internal and external stakeholders from various backgrounds.

Experience with MoD IT systems is advantageous but not mandatory, as training will be provided. Behaviours such as making effective decisions, leadership, communication, self-development, and timely delivery will be evaluated during the selection process.
