Join our dynamic team to lead data transformation, generate actionable business insights, and develop a robust, streamlined reporting capability.

Collaborate closely with the business units to identify and resolve data quality and integrity issues, assessing these against business risk. Empower your colleagues with access to reliable data, building confidence in a data-driven strategy. You will drive improved outcomes for residents and the business through proactive analysis and actionable insights. Enable effective strategic and operational decision-making and planning by enhancing understanding of underperformance areas. Take meaningful actions to elevate the resident experience, operational efficiency, and asset management whilst streamlining and enhancing performance and business reporting.

You'll have the opportunity to blend the best of both worlds, spending approximately 2-3 days per week in the officewiththe remainder being from the comfort of your own home. However bear in mind during your probation and training, we may request more office presence to ensure you feel fully supported and equipped for success. Your well-being and confidence in your role are paramount to us, and we're committed to providing the flexibility you need to excel. Of course if you'd prefer to be in the office more, then that is completely fine with us too

Your responsibilities...

  • Leadership;
    • Guide our data, insight, and reporting team to success.
    • Strategic Influence: Support and challenge senior managers to leverage data and insights, driving continuous improvement in resident and business outcomes while meeting new safety regulations.
    • Strategy Development: Refine and execute a cutting-edge data and insights strategy, establishing a dynamic operating model and ambitious roadmap.
    • Initiative Design: Collaborate with senior managers to create initiatives that boost data utilisation for strategic planning and service improvement.
    • Cultural Leadership: Foster a unified, motivating culture by embodying our values and promoting excellence.
    • Performance Management: Mentor team members, ensuring high standards in performance and behaviour.
  • Inspire Data-Driven Culture;
    • Train, support, and motivate the business to adopt data-informed operations.
    • Promote Excellence: Champion the scientific method and Agile practices for rapid, high-quality results.
    • Optimise Data Performance: Build tools and processes for monitoring and analysing data accuracy.
    • Establish Data Governance: Partner across functions to understand challenges and drive data improvements.
    • Shape Data Strategy: Collaborate with leaders to develop and implement our data strategy.
    • Enhance Infrastructure: Work with the Technology Directorate to build a strong data infrastructure.
    • Advance Data Maturity: Identify a roadmap for data maturity and advocate for big data investment.
    • Drive Corporate Goals: Deliver the Corporate Plan through data-driven initiatives, enabling informed decision-making.
    • Influence Decisions: Communicate insights to the Board, Executive Management Team, and Directors.
    • Proactive Analysis: Conduct regular and deep-dive analyses in priority areas to uncover emerging issues and improve resident satisfaction.
  • Actionable Insights;
    • Provide analysis that drives robust improvement plans, ensures compliance, and mitigates business risks.
    • Strategic Support: Prioritise analyses that align with business goals and enhance resident experiences, strategic planning, and financial performance.
    • Data Accessibility: Ensure senior managers and service leads have easy access to the data they need for strategic decision-making and service enhancement.
    • Business Intelligence: Promote and embed the use of BI tools like Power BI across the organisation.
    • Performance Monitoring: Track operational and commercial effectiveness, recommending changes to boost performance.
    • Reporting Optimisation: Streamline and automate business and performance reporting for maximum efficiency and accuracy.
    • Budget Management: Meet KPIs within budget, finding ways to deliver increased value while adhering to financial regulations.

  • Analytical Prowess: 3+ years of experience in analysing and manipulating complex data to enhance efficiencies and drive improvements.
  • Performance Monitoring Guru: Proven track record in developing and implementing performance monitoring systems and KPIs.
  • Tech Savvy: Mastery of Advanced Excel, Power BI, SQL, and data warehousing systems.
  • Sector Insight: Solid understanding of government housing policy and social housing regulation.
  • Certified Expert: Credentials in data science and analytics.
  • Research & Analysis: Deep understanding of research techniques and advanced analysis.
  • Leadership Excellence: Experience in building and leading high-performing data teams, with a focus on coaching and maximising team potential.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to present complex ideas simply and effectively to a range of audiences, including senior stakeholders like the CEO, EMT, and SMT.
  • Strategic Vision: Detail-oriented yet able to grasp the bigger picture, provoking strategic debates.
  • IT Savvy: Ability to navigate complex IT environments, interpret data, and communicate findings clearly and concisely.
