Welcome to our team at the Paint Technician position As an Automotive Paint Technician, you will play a crucial role in preparing, spraying, and finishing vehicles involved in collisions with the utmost efficiency. Your responsibility includes ensuring precise color matching and achieving the final finish to meet both company and customer standards.

What you'll be doing:

  • Understanding spray painting technology principles, paint composition, mixing, and various methods of paint spraying vehicles.
  • Fully preparing vehicles before painting through masking, sanding, and other necessary prep work.
  • Repairing, surface preparation, and painting according to manufacturer paint specifications.
  • Demonstrating color identification and selecting appropriate materials for primers, base coats, and lacquers.
  • Creating a safe work environment, working efficiently, and minimizing waste.

Your skills for this role:

  • Expert working knowledge of Automotive refinishing materials such as paint and fillers.
  • Proficiency in drying and curing techniques for vehicle finishing.
  • Understanding of Body Paint Repair tools, equipment, and devices.
  • Knowledge of substrates like metal (Steel/Alloy), carbon fiber, and glass reinforced plastic.
  • Awareness of handling solvents, high voltage components, and risks associated with different vehicles.
  • Calculation of paint volume requirements per job.
