About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Painter and Decorator to work with our client, a leading organization with various sites in the region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting condition surveys, maintaining a schedule of works, and ensuring the highest quality of painting and decorating services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct condition surveys and maintain a schedule of works for painting and decorating tasks.
  • Plan and organize works, materials, and equipment according to set priorities, considering task complexity and size.
  • Prepare, clean, and fill surfaces using appropriate methods, including stripping and removing wallpapers.
  • Apply paint and other specified materials, achieving a high finish of work.
  • Clear rooms as required, with assistance from the Estates team.
  • Ensure areas are left in a clean, tidy, and safe state during and after completion of work.
  • Comply with Health and Safety and COSHH regulations at all times, wearing correct PPE as necessary.
  • Ensure safe handling and storage of all paints and solvents.

Requirements:

  • Full driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Ability to work in the region.
  • Good understanding of basic DIY skills.
  • NVQ or apprenticeship in Painting and Decorating.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the field.
