Your main focus will be working as a strategic leader & operator, responsible for shaping and implementing the WFG's supply-chain strategy. This important role involves collaborating with internal business leads to optimize operational efficiency, commercial viability, and productivity. You will oversee the development and management of a Preferred Supplier List (PSL), setting clear standards and incentivizing suppliers to meet and sustain these requirements. With a focus on collaboration, performance management, and relationship building, you will play a key role in enhancing WFG's supply chain, fostering sustainability initiatives, and contributing to the overall success of WFG.

  • Work closely with business leads to map processes, procedures, and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain the Preferred Supplier List (PSL).
  • Establish minimum standards and requirements for inclusion in the PSL.
  • Develop incentives for suppliers to maintain PSL requirements.
  • Collaborate with WFG & wider business teams.
  • Work closely with Delivery teams to suggest best-fit subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Determine minimum supply chain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Identify and address current process bottlenecks/issues, implementing effective solutions.
  • Establish benchmarks and performance reviews common to all businesses to evaluate subcontractors/suppliers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Implement and develop sustainability policies, including Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations.

Labor Hire Considerations: Evaluate and provide insights on the engagement of labor hire companies.

You will bring to the table

Technical Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in procurement, with a focus on developing and implementing supply chain strategies. Demonstrated ability to plan and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies, collaborating with internal business leads to enhance operational efficiency and commercial viability. Proven track record in developing and maintaining a Preferred Supplier List (PSL) with clear standards and requirements for inclusion. Experience in developing incentives for suppliers to meet and sustain PSL requirements. Successful collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Delivery, Operations, Sales, and Finance, to align procurement strategies with overall business objectives. Proficient in determining and implementing key performance indicators (KPIs) for effective supply chain management. Analytical mindset to identify and address process bottlenecks, implementing strategic solutions. Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. Experience in working closely with delivery teams to recommend best-fit subcontractors and suppliers. Familiarity with developing and implementing sustainability policies, with consideration for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.

Personal Skills Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with internal teams and external stakeholders. Strong negotiation skills to establish and manage commercial agreements, rates, and rebates. Strong analytical mindset to identify performance metrics and conduct objective performance reviews. Proven problem-solving skills to address process bottlenecks and implement effective solutions. Track record of building and maintaining positive relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams. Demonstrated innovative approach to developing sustainability policies aligned with ESG principles.
