Vickerstock are working alongside one of our leading clients based in Armagh to recruit a HR Assistant to join their busy team on a permanent basis.

The HR Assistant will support the HR Manager and provide advice to staff and line management.

This is an excellent opportunity to work for an award-winning organisation and gain valuable experience within the HR Function.

The HR Assistant will assist with the following:

  • Advise line managers on HR processes (recruitment, absence, leavers, holidays)
  • Support and deliver Training.
  • Liaise with line managers to review and update job descriptions and adverts as required.
  • Advertise vacancies both internally and externally.
  • Arrange preemployment testing.
  • Draft contracts and offer letters.
  • Send out formal offers of employment.
  • Request references and right to work checks.
  • Process preemployment and induction paperwork, ensuring these are sent and returned in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with payroll regarding new starters.
  • Create reports as and when requested.
  • Supporting HR related training programs, workshops and seminars

The HR Assistant should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • At least 1 years' previous experience in a HR environment
  • Employment law knowledge either through studies or working experience.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent experience in the work place is desirable.
  • An organised selfstarter
  • Excellent communication skills
