About the Role:
As the Senior Manager, OA Projects, you will play a crucial role in Springer Nature's OA transformation. Reporting to the Director of OA Policy and Strategic Planning, you will lead a global team focused on implementing new OA initiatives, policies, and business models, supporting projects and collaborating with stakeholders across the business.
Role Responsibilities:
- Project Management and Implementation: Oversee planning and delivery of new OA initiatives, policies, and projects that align with the organization's strategy.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a global team, fostering a high-performing environment.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate across departments to ensure project success.
- Analysis and Reporting: Monitor project performance and provide insights to senior management.
- Understanding Processes: Develop a solid understanding of Springer Nature's systems and processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements.
- Project Expertise: Provide project support for strategy development.
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:
Essential:
- Proven experience in managing complex business projects and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint.
- Understanding of publishing workflows and open access business models.
- Degree or equivalent work experience.
Desirable:
- Formal project management qualification.
