Due to the high volume of patient enquiries and appointment requests Randstad are keen to recruit an experienced Medical Receptionist / Administrator for a busy Medical GP Practice based in Glengormley.

This is a full time post with an expected contract duration of 3-6 months with significant scope for extension and permanent hire.

The successful applicant will support the Practice Manager and join an established team ensuring the efficient running of the surgery effectively prioritising patient requirements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 12 months Reception or Health care Administration experience essential
  • Previous experience within a GP Practice, Well-Being centre, Hospital, Surgery or Patient support role highly advantageous
  • Ability to handle multiple phone lines and volume enquiries
  • Effective communicator with ability to handle challenging situations
  • IT proficiency
  • Accurate data entry skills and attention to detail
  • Efficient organisational & time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced patient focused environments

Responsibilities:

  • Effective management of volume patient enquiries
  • Appointment scheduling
  • Ability to identify urgent patient needs and prioritise accordingly
  • Support a team of medical receptionists efficiently & diligently
  • Preparation of requests for information
  • Issuing prescriptions
  • Maintaining staff diaries
  • Face to face patient support
  • Filing
  • Updating patient records
  • Letter & report typing
  • All aspects of Administrative support to the team
