Requirements
- Must possess SVQ2 or be willing to undergo training to achieve this qualification within a specified period.
- Ability to register with the Scottish Social Services Council within a specific timeframe.

Responsibilities
- Assist in supporting service users in their own homes and community by addressing their personal and social care needs.
- Support service users and caregivers in enhancing their quality of life.

The Individual
- Previous experience in a caring role, whether in personal life or professional capacity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of working effectively in a team or independently, and proactive in using initiative.
- Possess assessment skills to meet the requirements of individuals in the community.
- Display sensitivity and empathy when interacting with vulnerable individuals, maintaining a non-judgmental and professional attitude.
- Reliable, dependable, and willing to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and occasional nights.
- Willingness to engage in continuous learning and development activities.

Important: This position involves Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act.

Preferred candidates will need to undergo a PVG Scheme check before receiving a formal employment offer from Dundee City Council.
