About the Role
Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our Home Care team as a Home Carer. As a Home Carer, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to vulnerable service users in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide intimate personal care to service users, including washing, bathing, showering, dressing, and shaving.
- Support with meal preparation, using items such as cookers, ovens, microwaves, and air fryers.
- Assist with medication and use specialist equipment.
- Deliver a vital service that enhances the quality of life for service users.
Requirements
- No previous experience or qualifications are necessary.
- Must be available to complete a 10-day induction, which includes 8 days of learning at our training centre and 2 days of shadowing our home care team.
- Must have the ability to undertake and attain a SVQ Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- Must be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
- Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is essential.
