We're currently forming a team to assist three residents in our newly upgraded supported living service, focusing on community support.

This is a great opportunity to join a dedicated team of support workers. For this position, a background in care and support is necessary. We're looking for individuals who can work independently, bring a friendly demeanour, and handle challenging situations. Our support extends to individuals with various disabilities, including learning disabilities, Huntington's disease, Down's syndrome, autism, and challenging behaviours.

Support will be provided 24/7 with staff ratios of one-to-one and two-to-one. Therefore, we're seeking individuals who can contribute to our team on a rotational basis.

Working in care is not just a job; it's an extraordinary opportunity to be a hero in someone else's story.

Every day, care workers have the power to transform lives through compassion, dedication, and the simple act of being there for those who need it most.

Whether comforting someone in their most vulnerable moments, offering a gentle touch, or providing essential support, care workers embody the essence of heroism.

It's not about grand gestures, but the small, everyday acts that make an immeasurable impact on the lives of others.

Key Responsibilities
-
Person-Centred Support:Provide empathetic and person-centred support tailored to meet the unique needs of individuals in the service.
-
Challenging Behaviour Management: Effectively manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours in a calm and professional manner, promoting a safe and supportive environment.
-
Mental Health Support: Work closely with individuals facing mental health challenges, offering emotional support, and assisting in accessing appropriate mental health services.
-
Learning Difficulties Support:Help individuals with learning difficulties in daily activities, fostering independence and promoting skill development.
-
Collaborative Approach:Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, families, and external agencies, to ensure a holistic and integrated support plan.
-
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of support provided, incidents, and individual progress. Generate reports as required.
-
Promoting Independence: Encourage and enable individuals to develop and maintain their independence, making choices about their lives and participating in community activities.
-
A full UK driving license and access to a car is essential for the role.

Salary:
£16 per hour

The refer a friend scheme is worth £200 in total.

This is split £100 after the person has worked 100 hours and then another £100 when they have passed probation (6 months usually).

Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of others?
