To work as a member of the Group Health & Safety (H&S) team, providing An apprentice or entry level position, to provide professional health and safety advice to the business and general support to the wider H&S team.
The aim of this role is to offer the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills whilst undertaking the Level 4 Regulatory Compliance Officer apprenticeship.
- Involvement in health, safety, risk management and support during the planning stages of events held at the NEC Group of venues.
- Support incident/accident investigations where required.
- Compile reports, support with collation and review of statistics and make recommendations to enable accident reduction strategies.
- Contribute to departmental health and safety planning, including the provision of reviewing and updating operational policy
- Develop and Mmaintain awareness of health and safety legislation, its impact on the Company and compliance with those impacts through policy and/or procedure
- Assist with the development, implementation and monitoring of proactive health and safety initiatives and campaigns throughout the organisation using influence and education
- Maintain flexibility to cover weekends, evenings and other unsociable hours when operationally required
Good communication skills
Ability to handle sensitive situations, demonstrating the appropriate level of professionalism
Interest in health and safety and the wider events industry
Provision of training delivery
A recognised Qualification in Health and Safety such as IOSH Managing Safely or above, or working
towards this.
Full UK Driving Licence
