The role involves working with various operational data sources in addition to Salesforce CRM.

Context

The British Council's English and Examinations Strategic Business Unit (E&E) has a significant business clientele. As part of the strategic direction of our SBU, there is a push to professionalize B2B sales and account management, enhance alignment across teams in this area, and contribute significantly to ambitious growth targets. The business unit offers a range of learning and assessment solutions to customers worldwide, including companies, governments, schools, and universities.

B2B partnerships are a vital aspect of our business model, and ensuring value creation and retention for these partners is crucial for our continued success. While organizations choose to partner with us for our product quality and expertise, increasing market competition and evolving customer expectations necessitate a more robust sales and account management approach that spans across teams.

The Global Sales Capability Programme aims to revamp the operational model for E&E B2B sales and account management teams. This includes standardizing systems, enhancing roles and responsibilities clarity, adopting a more data-focused and tech-driven approach, and implementing comprehensive sales enablement strategies. The incumbent will collaborate closely with the Global Sales Leadership team and CRM team to roll out Salesforce to all B2B teams, optimize its usage across the customer journey, ensure data accuracy, and deliver insights to key stakeholders.

In addition to acting as the primary liaison between the Salesforce/CRM global team and Global Sales team, the CRM Data Analyst will closely engage with other key roles, notably the Regional Sales and BD Directors, and the Global B2B Marketing team.

Main Accountabilities

Strategy and Planning

Design suitable reporting cycles that align with stakeholder requirements across various business contexts.Continuously enhance data collection and storage solutions, customer data models, and potential data integrations.Contribute insights to sales and resource planning based on CRM data analysis.Participate in developing and refining global sales and account management methodologies to boost sales effectiveness and customer satisfaction.

Operational Delivery

Monitor Sales/BD teams' CRM usage to ensure consistent data recording and adherence to quality standards.Generate regular management reports on CRM data with in-depth analysis for diverse British Council stakeholders.Provide ongoing feedback to the Salesforce/CRM team for relevant CRM enhancements.

Service Delivery

Create performance dashboards that promote a standardized global approach to managing business, team, and individual performance, empowering local managers.Analyze CRM data from various teams to pinpoint strengths, weaknesses, and emerging trends.Identify and propose enhancements to optimize account management processes, lead generation, and opportunity conversion.

Financial Management

Define, secure, and monitor resources necessary for executing business analyst tasks effectively.Offer inputs for annual business planning and target setting as needed.

Relationship & Stakeholder Management

Collaborate closely with the Global Sales team and regional Sales and Account Management teams to ensure cohesive data governance and reporting.Engage with the global CRM team to enrich the B2B environment, develop reporting tools, and jointly create an ongoing CRM strategy to address new challenges and opportunities.Coordinate with Marketing teams to establish seamless data flows across systems, personnel, and product categories.Represent the British Council and partner with external entities to uphold industry standards.Build professional networks internally and externally to enhance personal knowledge and expertise.
