About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geospatial Data Analyst to join our team at MSA Data Analytics Ltd. As a key member of our data solutions team, you will be responsible for driving forward key data and modelling projects, designing innovative GIS and geospatial solutions, and supporting the development of cutting-edge data products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive forward key data and modelling projects, leveraging your expertise in geospatial data manipulation, integration, and analysis.
  • Design and develop innovative GIS and geospatial solutions, utilizing automation, data integration, and data science to produce meaningful insights from data and improve decision-making.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to gather and evaluate requirements, delivering integrated GIS/geospatial solutions and outcome-based innovations.
  • Write formal technical, functional, and user documentation for acceptance by third parties.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and develop innovative data products and offerings.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in an advanced data analysis role, with a strong thread of geospatial data manipulation projects.
  • Experience in data integration and solutions development, including automating complex technical workflows, spatial ETL, spatial analytics, spatial data collection, validation, and management.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to communicate key insights to stakeholders.
  • Experience with a range of analytical applications, BI, and ETL tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
  • Experience with GIS software (QGIS, ESRI, MapInfo) and databases (SQL, PostGRES/PostGIS).
  • Strong interpersonal, writing, and organizational skills.
