We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Officer supporting a business who provide system support services for the Royal Navy.


As the Commercial Officer, you will perform contract management functions across the spectrum of actions associated with providing supplies and services, from capture through proposal, contract award, and all phases of contract administration.

This vital role will be providing business advice and guidance whilst coordinating with other functions to effectively manage a breadth of responsibilities, including contract solicitations / capture, negotiations, and contract terms, including fulfilment of related obligations.

Ensure contractual compliance with all laws and regulations, and adherence to Delegation of Authority and approval requirements for proposals and contractual actions.

Lead and support audits, as appropriate, with internal and external audit teams and agencies to support contract-related activities and verify compliance.

Ensure final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations.
You will also, manage, provide guidance on, and administer multiple, complex contracts and relationships with minimum management assistance.

Commercial Officer skills and experience required- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the different types of commercial/contract models and how to use them. Ensures Terms and Conditions compliance and define all risks and create and implement solutions to problems and issues as they arise. Independently identify, define and implement contract revisions and improvements in accordance with normal procedures. Liaison with internally, with customers and suppliers in support of above and provide guidance and advise relevant to assigned agreements. Organise and maintain contract files Ensure timeliness of all contract actions and contract close out. Keep internal and external stakeholders appraised of current issues and their mitigation/resolution. Responsible for ensuring flow down of prime contract commercial requirements to suppliers.
