We're looking for an IT Compliance & Controls Manager to join us in Watford

The opportunity:


You will be a key member of our IT Team, helping to ensure there is a robust data & technology controls framework.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a genuine impact on the company's risk and compliance frameworks across the EMEA region.


What you'll be doing:
This position will involve the following tasks/deliverables:Establishing, embedding and enhancing a comprehensive data and controls framework across the EMEA region that reflects WPP guidance;Conduct regular checks and operational audits to ensure adherence to the data and controls framework;Identifying potential risks and control deficiencies, and recommending appropriate actions to mitigate these risks and deficiencies;Preparing detailed audit reports, highlighting findings, recommendations, and opportunities for continuous improvement;Collaborating with stakeholders from across the business to foster a culture of compliance and risk management;Monitor and track the implementation of audit recommendations, ensuring timely and appropriate remediation actions are taken;Staying updated on changes in regulations, industry best practice and WPP guidance to ensure the data and controls framework remains effective and up-to-date;Provide training and guidance to internal staff on internal controls, compliance and risk management principles

What we want from you:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations and auditing standards;Proficient in conducting audits, risk assessments, and control evaluations.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;Proficient in using audit software and other tools like Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint;Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely present findings and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels;Strong organisation and time management skills to effectively prioritise tasks and meet deadlines; Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as independently.
