At The Content Emporium we offer a high level plug-in content marketing support to comprehensively fill the gaps in the skills and resources that large brands have in-house. From Instagram reels and TikTok management to email marketing and print magazines, we deliver a wide range of engaging content services. Unlike some larger agencies we fully integrate with our clients' marketing departments to add real value every day.

Why we are hiring

We currently serve a diverse client base, from FTSE 100 property giant Landsec to ambitious smaller businesses like The British Blanket Company and national food service group Caterfood. We've retained our largest client, Landsec, for 14 years and we now run the digital marketing for 17 of their shopping centres including Bluewater and Gunwharf Quays. We have ambitious plans for 2024 and we need an Organic Social Media Strategist to support the delivery of social media content creation and community management across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. The role

We're seeking an Organic Social Media Strategist to join our extensive social media team. You'll take a leading role within the team, which includes content editors, content creators, community managers and more. You will need to have your finger on the pulse when it comes to social media trends, have a deep understanding of TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube, understanding the type of organic content that's best for each. You will ensure that our client marketing objectives are met - implementing comprehensive social media strategies and plans for day-to-day delivery that will enhance our client's brand, engage their audience, and drive performance growth.

Responsibilities to include (but not limited to);

  • Help execute and refine social media strategies aligned with overall marketing and business goals.
  • Conduct thorough research on industry trends, competitors, and target audience behaviours to inform strategy and deliver this in a clear and concise way.

Content Planning, Sourcing and Ideation:

  • Work closely with our content creation and creative team to develop engaging and shareable content for various social media platforms, and help brief the creation of this content.
  • Work with teams on how user generated content and external creators/influencers can be used in content and what success looks like in this area. Sourcing good UGC is part of this role.

Platform Management:

  • Undertake practical work on creating TikTok videos in app using the native editing tools and Capcut (using footage made by our creator team)
  • Stay updated on platform algorithms, features, and best practices to maximise organic reach and engagement.
  • Maintain platforms with updates to Instagram highlights, following relevant accounts and seasonal refreshes.

Community Engagement:

  • Develop strategies to grow and nurture online communities around the brands we work for.
  • Follow house style to engage with our audiences through direct replies but also through pro-active engagement with local communities or complementary accounts.

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Utilise social media analytics tools to measure the performance of campaigns, track KPIs, and provide insightful reports to key stakeholders and team members.
  • Use data-driven insights to continually optimise strategies and improve performance.
  • Use social listening and brand monitoring tools within Sprout Social to produce insightful and actionable monthly reports.
  • Educate the wider team on platform changes and trends.

Relevant Skills And Previous Experiences

  • 2+ years of experience with social media marketing, ideally with an agency or brand
  • Knowledge of TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, with a sense of how to engage an audience on all of those channels.
  • Excellent communication, writing, project management, presentation, cross-functional collaboration and relationship-building skills
  • Skills with Excel/Google Sheets and confidence in handling and presenting data
  • An organised and process-driven mindset, with a high attention to detail and a reliably high standards of work
  • Passion for social media communities and social-first content, with a keen eye towards innovation
  • Advanced internet research and problem solving skills

This is a permanent full time role with a salary of £30,000 per annum. Hours are 9am to 5pm as standard, although some hours outside this might be needed for client visits, etc. As we run social media from 9am to 9pm every day of the year, some flexibility to the standard hours would be needed.

All full time employees get 25 days paid holiday per year in addition to all bank holidays. Employees are auto-enrolled into our pension scheme. This is a hybrid role with an expectation of one day per week in the office (located next to Bristol Temple Meads train station) and four days a week remote.
