Why we want you:

The purpose of this post is to provide a high level of administrative and office support to the regional team to ensure the smooth and effective running of the team.

This post will be supporting colleagues in multiple locations and may be the first point of contact for many requests coming to the region.

You will be based in the Asia team in the International department, working with colleagues based in the UK as well as Bangladesh, Nepal and Malaysia.

This role would suit a proactive individual, with the ability to collaborate constructively with colleagues remotely, as well as cross-culturally, who would like to be part of a team exploring exciting strategic projects to support other Red Cross national societies within the Asia region.

Reference To be provided to the Volunteering & Youth team. Location Home working, with desk space available at our head office in London if required

  • The ability to travel to our office once per week would benefit the learning experience Department International

  • Disaster Management Coordinator Hours This placement will last 12 weeks, and will consist of three volunteering days per week. The volunteering hours are negotiable to balance your needs and what can be achieved in the role.
  • Tasks: Assisting in the scheduling and minuting of our monthly team meetings
  • Gathering, analysing and cleansing data for our corporate quarterly reporting
  • Coordinating contributions to regional monthly newsletter
  • To collate data, analyse and communicate information in both verbal and written formats in support of the team's objectives and future ambitions
  • Helping to plan the regional face to face team meeting, including helping with visa arrangements, booking hotels and gathering agenda items
  • There will also be the opportunity to undertake a discrete information gathering research task, if this is of interest to the selected volunteer
  • Skills: Excellent administration and organisational skills
  • A proactive nature, with fantastic problemsolving skills
  • Proven ability to prioritise and manage work effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills, including proficiency with all basic Microsoft Office packages
