Cannock, Staffordshire, United Kingdom University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust Full time

A truly excellent opportunity has arisen with our Estates Operations Team at the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM).

We are a very special organisation with amazing staff and this has been demonstrated unequivocally during the unprecedented challenges of Covid-19.

Our ability to be flexible and innovative in the way in which we work and deliver services that respond to our patients needs has never been more important than it is right now.

So if you are a passionate, values driven person, who is pro-active in their approach, thrives in a busy working environment and wants an opportunity to join a highly motivated Estates Operations Team, at a hugely exciting time for UHNM, then this could be the role for you.

The University Hospitals of North Midlands is looking to recruit an Estates Shift Maintenance Craftsperson trained to City & Guilds Craft Level or equivalent in mechanical or electrical maintenance on a permanent basis.

You will be keen and enthusiastic working with a skilled team to assist in the provision of a high level of service to a large acute hospital.

Your duties will include the day to day maintenance and repair of the various engineering services and equipment on site during and outside normal working hours.

You will be stationed at County Hospital working a shift rota on a 4 week cycle, but may be required to work at other sites belonging to or serviced by UHNM.

PLEASE SEE ATTACHED SHIFT ROTA DOCUMENT
University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is one of the largest and most modern in the country.

Based across two sites, Royal Stoke in Stoke-on-Trent and County Hospital in Stafford, we are proud to serve around three million people and we're highly regarded for our facilities, teaching and research.

We are the specialist centre for major trauma for the North Midlands and North Wales.

All of our employees make a valuable contribution regardless of role here at UHNM and we are proud of our wide range of development packages aimed at ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to fulfil their true potential.

We are committed to being a diverse and inclusive employer and foster a culture in which all staff feel valued and respected.

In return we ask all of our employees to make a commitment to the values, co-created by or staff, patients and carers, and that unite us as a Trust.

At University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust we know that investing in, supporting and developing our staff has a direct impact on the quality of care that we deliver.

Our employees are as important as our patients and the population that we serve.
