Quality Manager

Escape Recruitment is in need of a Quality Manager to back up their clients' manufacturing and service business units in Fife. As the Quality Manager, you'll be responsible for setting up and managing the Quality Management System to boost business performance. Your main tasks will involve recognizing, measuring, and enhancing key performance indicators, like Cost of Poor Quality and on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee a team of quality specialists and support teams.
- Set up and keep up customer feedback processes.
- Create and assess quality plans, inspection test plans, and internal audit plans.
- Monitor and handle non-conformities, corrective actions, and risk mitigation plans.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and customer demands.
- Conduct yearly supplier risk assessments and identify audit requirements.
- Cultivate a culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous enhancement.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Degree in Engineering.
- Significant experience in Quality Engineering or Continuous Improvement.
- Thorough understanding of ISO 9001 QMS requirements.
- Experience in sectors such as oil & gas, manufacturing, automotive, or medical devices is advantageous.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Lead auditor certification.
- Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt.
- Facilitation training.
Key Competencies:
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Great written and verbal communication skills.
- Capability to guide and support team members.
- Proficiency in efficiently managing priorities and resources.
- Team-player with a cooperative attitude.
