As part of MUFG's Global Financial Crime Directorate (GFCD), we are enhancing our financial crime prevention and detection operations through Centres of Excellence (CoEs) to strengthen expertise, oversight, processes, and technologies.

We are seeking ambitious individuals experienced in banking and analytics to join our team, dedicated to customer protection and global economy integrity.

In this role, you will support the CoE for Financial Crime Operations team in Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) within the Data Insights and Analytics (DIA) team:

  • Enhance intelligence and analytics capability for financial crime risk detection across all products and entities.
  • Utilize exploratory data analysis and machine learning models to mitigate financial crime risks effectively.
  • Provide support to financial crimes investigations through advanced analytics, data capture, and thematic reviews.
  • Contribute to scenario tuning exercises and global Data Insights & Analytics definition.
  • Analyze structured data to identify potential financial crime risks using statistical modeling and data mining.
  • Utilize advanced data visualization techniques to support financial crimes investigations.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in Data Analytics within banking or consulting.
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with ETL tools, preferably Alteryx.
  • Hands-on experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization tools.
  • Ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative subject such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Economics.
  • Conflict management skills.
