College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine / Centre for Clinical Brain Sciences / Sleep Research Unit

Contract type:
Part-time: 28 hours per week


Fixed-term: until 31st July 2025

The Opportunity:


This is an exciting opportunity for a clinical research assistant to support academic research within the Centre for Clinical Brain Sciences in the Sleep Research Unit.


The post holder will be required to play a key role in conducting research in people with Parkinson's Disease and sleep disorders within the Department of Sleep Medicine (Royal Infirmary Edinburgh).

This post is 0.8 full-time equivalent (28 hours per week). We are open to flexible working patterns.

We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.

Please note this role is fixed term until
31st July 2025.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • The post holder should possess a BA/BSc
  • Master's in psychology or healthrelated sciences is desirable
  • Clear history of either clinical or research projects showing evidence of ability in design, analysis and completion
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
