Temp Deputy Manager

Based at both Felixstowe Museum and Landguard Fort.
The Post Holder will be pivotal in ensuring the care, conservation and relevance of museum collections, adherence to accreditation standards, efficient duty management, effective volunteer engagement and a positive visitor experience.
Duty Management - Oversee day-to-day operations and emergency preparedness. Museum Collections Management - Curatorial oversight, collections access. Volunteer Management - Recruitment, coordination, training.Degree or relevant experience in museum studies, history, or a related field. (Experience in museum collections management and accreditation. (Experience working towards commercial targets and managing budgets. (Familiarity with volunteer management best practices. (The Museum houses both permanent and temporary collections across 14 display rooms. Collections include Roman, Aeronautical, Naval, Medical, Local and Social history of the area. Both the Museum and Landguard Fort are owned by English Heritage but run by charitable trusts.
