Main Job Purpose

To assist in the provision of targeted literacy support across the key stages.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
To assist the literacy team in assessing students' reading abilities

To assist the literacy team in providing targeted literacy support to key students, across the key stages, via one-to-one and small group intervention

To plan and advise on appropriate intervention strategies to support identified students

To maintain up-to-date knowledge on recommended reads for different reading abilities

To communicate with staff and parents regarding student progress

Provide general administrative support to the literacy team as directed

Undertake other duties appropriate to the grading of the post as required

Be responsible for your own continuing self-development, undertaking training as appropriate
