Role Overview

As a key member of the Asset Senior leadership team, your role will extend into the wider leadership of A2Dominion. You will also work with the governance committees, Property Senior Leadership Team and colleagues to help shape our future direction and ensure that we have a culture that enables people to flourish in delivering the impact we are passionate about realising for customers. You will contribute to the effective leadership and management of A2Dominion, maintaining focus on our purpose and vision through rigorous analysis, challenge and management.

The purpose of this role is to ensure that A2Dominion delivers its Property Disposals Programme.

You will help ensure we are more than the sum of our parts, by creating excellent collaborative working relationships with other members of the Asset Senior Leadership Team and other key stakeholders. You will maintain excellent working relationships with committee members to ensure they are appraised of all key delivery issues.

You will provide strategic, infrastructure and professional leadership in the following areas: stock rationalisation and acquisition, property disposals & stock options appraisals, providing regular monitoring & reporting to the Asset Director, EMT, Committee & Board.

Key responsibilities:


Proactive member of the Asset Leadership Team working collaboratively to protect and maximise A2Dominion's interests and assess opportunities for efficiencies and improved asset management.


Be the operational lead for stock rationalisation and acquisition & property disposals.


Support the Head of Property transactions in negotiations with potential bidders & purchasers achieving a balance between customer and commercial outcomes aligned with programme goals.


•Deliver the Disposals Programme within Budget and agreed Key Performance Indicator targets and deliver any corporate and operational improvement projects to programme.


Establish robust processes and practices in delivering complex and significant budget transactions (circa £50 - £200m).


•You will undertake professional oversight and delivery of systems and processes within your remit.


Create the conditions, tools, and support mechanisms so colleagues can make customer-led decisions. Embolden teams to take a 'common sense' approach to enquiries, issues and problem resolution.


Develop metrics as well as quantitative and qualitative information to evidence service improvement and drive further improvements.


•Support the Board and the Strategic Development and Assets Committee with the provision of reports on progress of the Disposals Programme.


•Personally exhibit open, inclusive and effective communication practices in all day-to-day activities.

Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English (Grades A*- C)


Educated to degree level or equivalent


Evidence of continuous professional development


Track record and substantial knowledge and experience of leading multidisciplinary teams within a large, complex organisation


•Good working knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework relating to the maintenance of homes, estates and related assets


Thorough knowledge of property performance evaluation methodologies


• Experience of delivering stock rationalisation and acquisition processes of over 1000 homes and in excess of £200 million


Proven experience of successfully developing and implementing organisation-wide property investment and/ or asset management strategies, policies and frameworks


Thorough understanding of financial reporting requirements including budget formulation, cost control


•Evidence of service improvement and delivering efficiencies


Delivery of tangible outcomes for customers


•Project management skills


Stakeholder relationship management and influencing at senior levels with the ability to progress and resolve complex situations and work through others


•Senior management experience and ability to develop and lead professional teams.
