What you'll be doing:Day to day you will develop and deliver our annual marketing and communications plan to help achieve our ambitious targets and reach out to new and existing audiences. This will include defining advertising activities and creating promotional materials and content across all media platforms - including the website and social media, writing, and distributing press releases, supporting on campaigns, image management, and representing us on location filming and broadcast media when needed.
We're looking for someone who can help us reach larger and more diverse audiences alongside partnership building with our local communities and stakeholders. You'll have the confidence, communication skills and curiosity to proactively connect with a wide range of colleagues to learn what's going on all around the portfolio. You'll work as part of a team to make sure that we're sharing the best stories we can. You'll drive marketing campaigns to attract visitors to our places, spread the word about places to visit in the great outdoors and raise awareness of our conservation work.
Working in partnership with external organisations will be important, aligning messaging between partners where appropriate. Internal communication will also be part of your role, making sure staff and volunteers within the property feel connected and engaged with what's happening on the ground at the different locations.
It is expected that you'll spend most of your time here at Powis Castle & Garden where you will actively play a part in the property operations team and duty management rota on a regular basis.
Weekend, bank holiday and evening working may be required. Own transport would be beneficial due to the nature of the work.
