Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join our team at Komatsu Australia. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Regional Quality Engineers to coordinate and address escalated and technical issues from all regions, liaising with factory teams.
  • Support the development of new models, block changes, and SFR with direct links to the factory, working closely with KAL Design.
  • Collaborate with Reliability Engineering to address factory design issues, customer complaints, reman faults, and early life failures.
  • Coordinate between regions to share best practices, measure, and report on quality issues, covering both factory and local quality.
Requirements
  • Tertiary engineering qualifications, preferably to Bachelor of Engineering level, or in the process of obtaining similar.
  • Good understanding of Quality Management and Continuous Improvement techniques.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage teams in different locations.
  • Highly competent in analyzing machine performance data to prepare statistical analysis reports on faults/system-related problems.
  • Knowledge of engineering design processes, Komatsu IT systems, Microsoft products, and design software.
  • In-depth knowledge of reliability engineering principles and a high level of self-motivation.
  • Excellent communication and written/oral skills, with the ability to communicate with customers, Komatsu OEM, and site personnel at senior levels.
