The role of the Compensation & Benefits Expert EMEA is to enhance Medline's Compensation & Benefits strategy, offering tailored advice and modern solutions to meet local needs.
As the first point of contact for Compensation & Benefits inquiries from leaders and the HR team, you will be involved in designing and implementing compensation plans that attract and retain talent, align with business goals, and align with the organization's overall reward strategy.
Activities:
- Ensure effective implementation of the compensation strategy within budget and compliance frameworks
- Establish and administer compliant and competitive compensation programs
- Build relationships with business leaders and stakeholders
- Act as an internal expert on pay decisions and policy interpretation
- Lead or support projects such as market pricing review and compensation planning
- Collaborate with HR team members to provide training on compensation best practices
- Analyze salaries against local requirements and suggest enhancements
- Support job grading and structuring based on the rewards strategy
- Assist in cross-border employee movements and recruitment processes
- Manage pension-related responsibilities
- Conduct salary and benefit surveys, contributing to negotiations with works councils
- Stay informed on compensation laws, regulations, and industry trends
Job Requirements:
- University degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in international compensation & benefits
- Proven track record in job grading and educating organizations on compensation
- Experience in delivering compliance-based and consultative compensation solutions
- Strong understanding of HR and compensation regulations
- Results-oriented with excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Advanced critical thinking and data analysis abilities
- Business and financial acumen
- Customer-centric with the ability to build effective relationships
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and HRIS
- Fluency in English; knowledge of another European language is a plus
