Job Purpose:
nTo prepare, manage and supervise accurate estimates for major infrastructure projects to support delivery of business objectives including relationship with subcontractors

Key Responsibilities:

nContribute to the achievement of Health and Safety in accordance with company policynResponsible for preparing, managing, supervising and taking accountability for the development of cost estimates in support of project and business objectives.nReview tender documents and drawingsnTo create detailed cost risk analysis and work breakdown analysis to ensure the production of high-quality cost estimates.nIdentify and prepare risks and opportunities registernCompile and supervise enquiries and procure quotes for materials and sub-contract packagesnContacting with supply chain for Quotes ClarificationsnPreparing comparisons of quotationsnAnalytical estimation of prime costs using estimating software (Candy preferred)nLiaise closely with tender planner and agree methodology and sequencingnPrepare tender settlement meeting review reports and supporting informationnPrepare submission documents and ensure timely deliverynContribute to mid-tender and post-tender meetings as necessarynPrepare and handover secured tenders to the project teamnEnsure full compliance with the core process procedures throughout tender periodnEstimate preliminary costs, including escalationnTo promote company values in all dealings with other employees, clients, subcontractors and other external contactsnUnderstanding of contractual risks in NEC and other forms of infrastructure contracts.

nUpdating date basis of rates and suppliers

Key Skills:
nPrevious experience as an estimator for large scale projects particularly roads and motorways including structures.nPrepare tender settlement meeting review reports and supporting informationnExtensive experience liaising with the supply chainnSelf-motivated and proactivenTeam playernResponsive to meet tender submission deadlines

Desirable Skills:
nPresentation skills (written and verbal)
